Are you looking for a zoom ?
If you're ready to consider buying used, you may be able to find a Tamron 17-50mm 1:2.8 around $200-250. This would really be a step up from the 3 lenses you mention. Otherwise, there's the Pentax DA 16-45mm 1:4 that can also be found (used) around $150-200.

The Pentax is honorable without anything brilliant about it, the Sigma 18-50 is probably a bit better but not by much, the Sigma 18-125 will be useful thanks to its range but is not a fast or high-quality lens.
If you are using a "WR" DSLR, the only WR lens in your price range (that I know of) is the Pentax 18-55mm.

Look for a Tamron 28-105, or it's twin sister branded under Promaster. You can usually find them around 50 bucks...it's very compact and it's a very sharp, contrasty lens. You can also find them on eBay looking for Pentax AF film cameras. The Tamron I have now I got as part of a kit with a zx-7 and a Tamron 70-300 (another good, cheap lens) for $75.

I sometimes see them going for under EUR 200 here in France, I assumed that would translate to (roughly) USD 250. The key is to be patient... Good luck!

I can agree with this. I actually got the Tamron and the Promaster in different auctions in the same week, both were outstanding, I gave the Promaster to my daughter. She has a K-x and only an 18-55 and an old Takumar 70-200 I gave her. I haven't seen the Promaster off of her camera. I sold the Tamron after I bought the K-30 & DA18-135 kit, the Tamron became redundant. Had I not got the 18-135 I would have never sold the Tamron, it was very sharp.

That site is like a shop window for retailers to show their best pricing. You could contact any of those retailers and pay by credit card and have the lens sent to you via UPS or FedEx collect.

I bought mine from GrinApe and can vouch for them.

I'm with you PABLOM! I think the 35mmm 2.4 is great! It's really great for portraits. But I love the range of my DA 18-250 even more.

Get the 18-55mm WR lens, if only for the WR. Great optics, too!
