K30 for Xmas

I received a K30 with 18-135mm for Xmas more or less by mistake. My wife asked for a recommendation for a co worker for a DSLR and lens for his daughter for Xmas. During the same period, she was also asking me what I wanted. I suggested the K30 and lens for her co workers daughter, however she ended up buying it for me. I already have a K5 and 6 lenses including the 18-135. Trying to decide what to do here. Either
A return the whole kit
B sell the lens and keep the body.

I am not really not needing two bodies but the K30 seems like a very nice body and I understand that it improves on the K5 in some areas.

any ideas

Other than a slightly improved AF system and possibly better video the K5 is a better camera.

The K-30 also has focus peaking, which can be very useful if you are doing any manual focusing. Also video and possibly better high ISO noise performance. Oh, and the K-30 allows AA batteries adapter. But the K-5 is already a great camera. It really depends on what your uses are. At least give it a shot. Maybe she got you a K-30 so she will get your K-5

Return the whole kit. I've looked at the K-30 extensively and have an K-5 and it's just not enough to pay for the little extra you get IMHO.

Does the K-30 really have better high ISO noise performance than the K-5?

Wow! Pretty decisive. I'm kind of leaning that way. May be better to spend that money on more glass. I just thought some of the small improvements on the K30 might be worth a shot. Maybe not. I do like my K5 and only have about 11k clicks on it. It has been much better than the K20 was.

Plus the K-5 has 14bit RAW files, the K-30 has 12bit RAW files.

K30 has faster CDAF, focus peaking, slightly more accurate AF.
I also feel that its faster in response in focus confirmation w/ MF lenses.
Last thing I like about it is the af point select button can be assigned to the RAW button.

What I dislike about it,
1. No top Lcd
2. A bit fewer buttons
3. Placement of green button

I seem to see some hint that it has a slighty sharper o/p but can't be sure since I also moved to LR 3.4 for RAW conversion.

If you don't need the 'pros' I listed and don't have issues w/ your K5, then just keep the K5.

Sell the camera to the coworker.

The K-5 has the better video mode. Look at footage from both and it is instantly clear.
