No Exif date of which lens used

Posted this issue a while ago and still haven't found a solution:
Lens' work fine on my K30, but after downloading pics to my computer (iMac iPhoto)
all the exif info is there EXCEPT which lens was used...(18-135 or 55-300)
Always recognized it on my Kr. ???

You may have to update iPhoto if a new version is available that recognizes the EXIF information generated by the K-30. There are a few extra pieces of information in the K-30's EXIF as compared to the K-r and that could confuse iPhoto.

Download GraphicConverter

Apple photo software - Mac picture editor, photo editor, image editor, graphics conversion

Set GraphicConverter as the external editor in iPhoto (Right Click a photo and choose Edit in External Editor, when the dialog comes up select choose application).

When the photo opens in GraphicConverter select the i button and then the EXIFTool tab. The lens info will be towards the end listed under Compsite.

The K30 does not report the lens type in a jpeg file, only when you shoot in RAW. It seems that it is not the only body to have that problem. There was another thread on that problem some time ago. Happy New Year to all.
Mike.
