Why not?

So I'm in the market for K-30 (and the ONLY reason I've not pulled the trigger are the allures of K-5 still remain but that is another story and not the point of this post), and I've been looking repeatedly at this offer in the marketplace:

https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/photographic-equipment-sale/212571-sale-p...ter-count.html

and I'm wondering why this unit is not being bought instantly. Is there really something I'm missing? Great camera, great price, very transparent details, what more is there?

Why do you think? Does the market know something that I don't? What is it?

Thanks.

Glenn

I do not think it is anything wrong. It is a very good price.

Some points against are: Color, not everyone likes a camera other than black.

Location. There is customs fees if sent to another country.

If you are OK with those two issues that I see, it will make it a great camera for a good deal.

P.S. I have no association with the seller.

reason I haven't bought it myself are largely:
I already own a K-5
No Money

Had this been me a year previous before I had bought my K-5 and was still shooting a white K-x, I'd buy that thing right away

It's white, they are of limited appeal. And, it's just before CP+ and sales on the forum typically slow down before big potential releases of new gear.

Yep... I might have grabbed it as a backup if it didn't look like a stormtrooper.

I already get "looks" when people realize I'm not shooting a Canon or Nikon... having a white camera would just be fatal.

Thanks for the replies - along the lines of what I had suspected. Had not thought of the CP+ aspect, though. White may make one look less "professional" and really catch some attention, esp. when trying to blend in.

Thanks,

Glenn

I like the white look of it and it would look nice in the snowy landscape in the winter. The problem is that I would use it for hockey and I'm already having trouble with reflections when shooting trough the glass with a black setup.
