I love focus peaking on the K-30 and I have to admit, I had negative expectations on it. When I had my K20D I could rarely get a good shot with manual focus, with the K-30 those manual lenses have new life. With autofocus lenses, I find myself turning off autofocus and using LV & FP when using a tripod, it makes it really easy to see the DOF.

I've found focus peaking to be more accurate for 'A' lenses in 'M' mode.
In other auto modes, the camera automatically stops down the lens resulting in more DOF seen at LCD than intended, resulting in imprecise results.

Thats my impression too from a Nex5.
But it does help get to that ball park of focus fast.
Some accuracy issues boils down to the user too as he/she needs to judge when is this highest peak tu press the shutter
I agree with this, in critical/fine focus situations even with the peaking you need to estimate the sweet spot within the contrast peaking to get the area in focus.
