K30 Firmware upgrade - Is it worth buying a 32gb card?

The title pretty much states my question. I just checked BH Photo and a San Disk 32 gb card cost $42. That is one fast enought to use later in the camera. Is it worth that to upgrade the firmware? Can anyone who has upgraded see any difference?

The card speed makes no difference whatsoever when upgrading firmware. Here's a better deal on a 32Gb card, BTW:
SanDisk 32GB Ultra SDHC UHS-I Memory Card, 30MB/s Read Speed SDSDU-032G-A11 ($19.99)

Kinda confused by your question. First of all, I believe Adorama is running a deal right now for 32gb class 10 cards for $20. Now, why do you need a 32gb card to upgrade the firmware? The firmware is only like 12mb if I remember correctly. You just need a clean SD card of any size as far as I know. I believe I did mine with a 512mb card.

Edit: Adam beat me to it.

Steve,
I just upgraded the K-01 and nearly went and bought a 32GB card too
I miss-read the instructions, re-reading actually they say you need a 32MB card, so anything will do.

Thanks, I also thought it took a 32 GB card instead of a 32 megabite. I have a card that will do the job.

From experience, I'd rather grab two 16GB (or even 4 8GB) cards instead of a 32, simply because if the card should fail its better to lose half your pictures than lose everything. It only takes a moment to pop in a new card.

You're probably the fifth person to misread that. I was one of the first four to misread it when the firmware came out and I said to myself "what?".
