Originally posted by brent-b I recently moved from a K100 to a K30. On the K100, there is a Shaker Reduction switch by the lens and the manual said to turn it off if tha camera is mounted on a tripod. You have to go in the menu on the K30 to turn the SR on and off and it does not say anything about turning it off when on a tripod, just some other situations.
So, should I turn the SR off when I have it mounted on a tripod? If so, why did they remove the switch?
They removed the switch because SR is something you keep on most of the time. The same rules apply with respect to a tripod, and if you select the seft timer SR will disable itself.
