Custom Image modes - which one do you prefer?

I tried Natural, Bright, Vibrant and now will test Portrait.
I'm still looking to get the prefect one with playing with saturation too.

If you shoot in raw when you open the file in photoshop, the colour profile will disappear and the image will be as the sensor recorded it =)

My latest is Natural, typically with +1 on Saturation. Have boosted Sharpness a little, too.

However, I've essentially given up on using Pentax's JPEG engine for anything containing a strong red. There seems to be no setting that comes out "right" for that color. Almost always use RAW now.

If i shoot RAW+ is the jpeg processed according to color mode, sharpness etc or is it just RAW file (unprocessed) transferred to Jpeg?

In RAW+, the JPEG file will be processed the same as if you are shooting JPEG only.

I started off with portrait, then I went to vibrant. Now I'm in muted. I might go through all of them eventually. They all give a certain "look", and I think it's a matter of just finding one that works best for you.

I shoot RAW + JPG because I can't be arsed to edit every single photo I take. Any shots that need work, I'll take the RAW file into Lightroom, but sometimes the JPG is good enough for casual snaps and stuff. This is where the color profile can help you get a different "look" to the photos.
