I use a Ricoh Rekinon P 50mm F1.7 on my K20D, K7 and now my K5 and have not faced this problem.
I'm 'lucky' ( ) enough to have a dead K-x that I can test lenses on when I spot the pin. So far of the four lenses (well, 3 lenses, one teleconverter) that I have to have it, 3 out of 4 would have stuck to my K-30 had I tried using them without operating. The old Vivitar teleconverter has the pin and I never realized it, so I class that thing as safe. Maybe not for the quality of photos shot with it, but it doesn't stick to my camera at least.
