Pentax K-30 Video shooting?

Hello,

I'm a new photographer and Im very interested in Pentax K-30.
But I want a DSRL for video shooting. I have read in other forums about the comparison between the K-30 and the Canon T3i (a recomended camera for video beginers)

They said that the K-30 has a bad sound recorder and don't have HDMI port.
But I DON'T care about sound, or HDMI.

Which camera is better for video recording? and Why?

Thank you.

T3i. The Magic Lantern firmware adds an incredible amount of value.

After viewing sample HD video from the K-30, I have reached the conclusion that if there are only a few moving elements, the K-30 does okay. But when there are lots of moving elements - like when you are panning, honestly I think my 'deck of cards' sized JVC 1080p HD video camera has a smoother image. Too bad I can't stick my Pentax optics on the digital-zoom-only JVC camera.

With that, I will likely use my K-30 when touring for video and save the space/weight. It is 'good enough' for the type of video I would collect.

It looks pretty good to me, smooth at 1080p 30fps and super smooth at 720p 60Hz but there again shooting video isn't my thing but I know judder when I see it - hate it. I don't like 24p on anything:- the K-30 at 24 or 25fps, movies in the cinema or on Blu-Ray, it just looks so juddery to me I've even tweaked my Blu-Ray player for smoother results by avoiding 24p.

In case you were thinking of it, I don't think you can judge video quality with any YouTube efforts, they always seem to judder/random jerk a bit for every camera. The sound quality I know you're not too interested in, but I will say one thing for it, it is very clear sounding despite its mono mike, at least compared to quite a few cameras that have passed through my little world.
