While i can't compare my k30 to any other pentax cameras, I can compare it to my old Olympus.. I find the the shutter release on the k30 is very sensitive compared to the Olympus, so i have ended up using the Af button on the back to activate the autofocus. I find it much easier to use, especially with gloves on.

I moved the AF function to the rear of the DL. I have been deciding whether on not to do it with the K-30
