Parts for K-30

My blue K-30 did a back flip off a chair and landed on a concrete floor. Works fine but the pop up flash housing cover is smashed. Is it posible to get parts from Pentax or would I have to send it in. It looks like it is held on with 4 screws. Should be an easy repair.

I guess it is possible to get spare parts from Pentax if you are their authorized service. As end user you can get end user products like adaptors, cables etc.

I would send it in for repair.

Be prepared to spend $250.............seems to be the going rate for simple repairs.

The more I've studied it, If I can super glue the cracked portion and sand and bondo the scuffs, then shoot it with gloss black I'll just fix it myself.

Satin black may be a closer match. There's better glues around for plastics than normal retail superglue.

Mine did a similar gymnastic type move, landed on the eyepiece which now has a spiderweb crack in it. Still seems to work great, but seeing through it is a problem. Still $250 for a repair and a diagnostic?
