Originally posted by Tonto So does that make a K50 a replacement for K30...that make abit more sense now although not entirely necessary in my view. K500 is a great move, can't wait for the details!
The way I'm reading it, from basic to pro:
K-500
K-50
K-30 - weathersealed
K-5 - weathersealed
That sequence of 500, 50, 5 makes sense for a product range, but leaves the 30 as an oddball name. Unless a K-3 comes out, which would mean a 3-series and a 5-series.
It's actually a very Canon/Nikon style naming sequence so it sort of shows Ricoh is determined to challenge the big two with an equally full range of Pentax DSLRs.
And all that concern in the Hoya days of the demise of Pentax cameras. Soon it'll be a case of too many cameras to choose from.
