What's your shutter count up to now?

I'm two days shy of owning my K-30 for a week and I'm at 583.

Anyone hit 10k? 20k?

Around 35000 on a 2 year old K-5. I shoot some sports and that's easily 1000 clicks per outing. I also have periodic fits of chasing my kids around with the camera. That's also easily 100+ clicks per session. I delete a lot.

I think both my K-r and K-01 rolled over 9999 at least once each. With digital, you will rake in numbers fast, but try to make them count. For the past months I am trying to take as few photos (per motif) as possible, its good to start that early, otherwise you end up with a bunch of nearly identical photos and a full hard drive.

Don't remember exactly when I bought it, but it's around the 24,500 mark now. Last picture I saved was IMGP24530. I think I bought it around the end of November...OK just looked, picture IMGP0031 is Nov 27, that's the first day I used it.

I change the number in the filename as go. I set up a folder 00 and it gets 0 - 9999, then folder 01 gets 10000 - 19999, I'm in folder 02 now, so 20000 - 29999...That makes it a lot easier to go back and find a certain shot later, just look at the filename or date. Also makes it easy to find out the approximate shutter count...look at the last shot I saved.

My K-x was was at 56.7k exposures last year. 2 years old and my first (d)SLR.

It was replaced by K-30 with is currently at 40.4k exposures.

I bought another K-30 a couple of weeks after buying the first one, as a second/backup camera. It only gets used for events and at wider focals. I by far prefer to shoot at longer focals, so this one is at mere 6.2k exposures.
