I don't have a K30 but for those that have more than one - what if you set one camera to use date format MMDDYY and the other to use date format DDMMYY?

Then if you shoot both on same day there is only one day a month you have to worry about?

(I am assuming the folder name will change with the date format, but I am not 100% positive.)

in LR there are more than just dates in file naming, you can put a <customized word> in the file naming be it the camera used, location, dates etc.
