If I wag the machine, you hear something loose inside

Guys need help Urgent.

Today I received a new machine purchased in a shop in France.

When unpacked, I noticed that the body made a small noise, as if a piece loose inside.

If I wag the machine, you hear something loose inside.

Communicated with the house and they said that is normal, is the stabilization of this machine.

Your machines so if wag hear something loose inside?

Thanks for your help.

I need to know fast before time runs out 15 days of the return.

That could be your anti-shake mechanism. The more you shake it the more it wants it compensate. It must think you have no balance!

Yes they all make the noise.
It is the shake reduction mechanism, the sensor is floating on its supports.
Nothing to worry about.
Enjoy your camera.
I like the way you describe the motion.
I think I will go wag my machine today.

If it sounds like something is sliding around then it's normal and nothing to worry about.

Your next question will be "What is that scratching noise when I turn the camera on?"

This is also normal, it is the aperture activating and depending on your settings can also be the sensor dust cleaning process.

Enjoy your camera, soon all the little noises it makes will become familiar friends.

If it does not make a noise, you must have received a wrong Canon or Nikon camera, then you better return it...

Believe he had bought to 15 days a Canon 650D.

I made some shots with it, but there was not anything I liked, looked at my Pentax lenses and they did not get any better with the Canon.

And because of old ladies Pentax lenses I gave it back the Canon 650D.

And I'm not regretting anything, although this did not make any noise ...

I think I have some virus called Pentax, I have had many Canons, G11, G12, 550D, 650D, etc, but I always end up dispatching them and back to vice Pentax ...

I will even grabbed Pentax, Canon any day invents a kind of methadone for the addicts Pentax.

Curious, with the power off every SR body I have owned (several) makes the sound. I haven't tried it with the power on, but I don't plan to either!
And welcome, enjoy the Forums!

I have both K-r and K-30. The K-r does indeed make much less sound when you 'wag' it. The K-30 makes a clutter like sound but the K-r makes a sound but not an impact sort of sound, just a smooth sliding sort of sound for want of a better way to describe it.

On possible reason I can think of is that the K-30 has 3-axis movement whereas the K-x, K-r and K-m (and possibly others) are only two axis.

The DAL 55-300 is harder to find but there would be a new DA55-300 WR so the DA55-300 should drop in price

I leave my dust cleaning set to clean every time the Camera is Powered up. (yes make a strange shake and sound). My question is "Will this wear parts out quicker than say just cleaning it once a month"?
