Hello, i need your suggestions and advise. I have already a Pentax K30 and currently loving it.
Now, i thought of having a 2nd DSLR. Can you suggest one that can surpass k30 in terms of Image Quality?
If possible, those bodies that have 14bit raw. Im thinking of K50, but it seems theyre very identical.
K5II, but cant really appreciate the value, very pricey. So maybe, ill go with canon or nikon? D7000 maybe?
Are you sure you are happy with your K-30? It sounds like you want to make it your secondary camera? If money is of any importance, I'd say another K-30, or a K-50 (basically the same camera with a couple tweaks), or a K-5IIs.

I don't know if you do strictly studio photography, or have to haul your equipment. I haul my equipment most of the time, and the idea of having to haul everything for two non-compatible systems makes my back ache just thinking about it. Glass is realistically a melted and polished rock. Doubling up on working focal lengths gets really heavy, really fast. But hey, I'm not you. Maybe you have professional Sherpas on your payroll.

But the AF of the K5 is slower than the K30 and in low light, the K30 is much better. I know as I used to have the K5 before I sold it and got 2 K30s, one for my son and the other for me. With 2, I can use my son's caera any time if I need to use a 2nd body.

I see no difference as I don't pixel peep but the AF is a lot faster. The K30 is paired with the DA*16-50, DA*50-135 and DA*200 for my work in school.

I get more keepers with the K30 than the K5 in low light situations too.

Sell your K-30, tip in about $1,000 and buy a K-3.
