Why?

I use an optech Envy with uniloop attachment.

I'm looking for a strap too. Basically the same as the normal bundled straps, but longer. I would have thought that something so simple would be easily available, but apparently not.
No clips or swivels or anything. Sensible price. Available in the UK.
Anyone?

I like this strap set up . Nice loop handle if you remove strap and does not use tripod socket.

I went for this one as I wanted a wrist strap. $10, made in USA, a CA retailer that ships free from Amazon (this gets it to me in 1 day)

I made my own small lanyard style wrist strap from an old P&S freebie 'boot lace' and it works well enough at preventing me dropping my K-30 and doesn't get in the way.

I got one of these: Caden Quick Neck Shoulder Sling Strap for Canon Nikon Sony Pentax Panasonic | eBay

But from a US seller and it's great. I love it.

Probably she thinks screaming the camera brand invites thieves' attentions.

I personally am fond of the Couch Hand Made camera straps. They are a bit retro-ish, but they look good, are comfortable, and they're long enough to wear over your shoulder if you so desire. They have lots of different colors and patterns available, too.

I'm a big fan of sling straps or wrist straps. I have the pentax hand strap and that is pretty good and I just saw a listing in the price watch for an awesome price on it.

Another vote for the Domke "Gripper" strap. I use the 1.5" with swivel with the K10D and heavier film cameras and the 1" without swivel for my smaller film cameras.
  • Durable fabric webbing
  • Effective non-slip gripper strips really work
  • Plenty of extra length for taller users
  • No bounce
  • Well-made
  • Stealthy, does not even come in bright colors
  • Inexpensive

I just picked up an OpTech Super Classic Strap Uni Loop... I absolutely love it. I didn't want something that attaches to the tripod mount, and I wanted something longer and adjustable and padded so I could sling it across my shoulder. I also love the uni loop clips because if I mount to a tripod, I can just unclip the strap and not have it dangle in the way. And it only costs $20. I am surprised more people don't use this strap.
This Op Tech setup is exactly what I use as well. Very convenient and comfortable both around my neck and over my shoulder.

Good value for the price.

First day using this wrist strap and it worked great. I would have been happy paying $20 for it. (Op/Tech.... don't look here, nothing to see)

I don't like to advertise any brand in my personal apparel. I think the most obnoxious neck straps are the ones that have the model embroidered on the strap itself.
