Originally posted by CoachLittle Hi all, I'm new to much of this, and have been unable to get a clear answer to one narrow question about the K-50. Does the Digital Filters allow one to create a video that uses the Miniature Effect (that tilt-shift sort of emulation that is popular)? I *love* the weather resistant aspects of the K-50, but I'd really like to be able to use the miniature effect on video for some things I'd like to undertake. The other DSLRs that are under consideration are the D5100 and the T3i, both of which seem to have this effect available for both stills AND video. I could surmise from the owners manuals that the K-50 does it for stills, but am not sure if so for video AND if you can "output" a video that has that effect applied.
Since I can't find a K-50 in any local store to try out (I've already been to HHGregg, Target, and Best Buy), can any of the K-50 users please let me know? I'd like to buy a new camera tomorrow with some of the deals out there.
Thanks in advance - and sorry if this is a stupid question. I looked long and hard before posting.
Cheers,
Steve
I don't think the K-50 has this. It's got digital filters in movie mode that alter the colors, but nothing that adds any special effects.
