K30 box has eye piece cover?

My new k30 box did not have viewfinder cover inside box. Is this normal nowdays, before pentaxcams come with eyepiece cover?

Also warranty card says k30+18-55 kit even i did buy new body only. They did sell lens separately?!

It has been over a year since I got mine, but I don't think it does come with the cover. Previously I had a K20D which did include it. I used to use it with the K20D when doing night shooting, however with the K30 I use live view on the tripod, no need for that cover.

Actually the Pentax or Ricoh Imaging website says the the "Finder Cap for ME" is included.

I bought my K-30 about a year and a half ago and it didn't have the OVF cover despite what the contents claim. One call to Pentax customer service and they sent it to me.

The VF cover comes with the K-5/K-3 but not the K-50/K-30.

Neither my k-30 nor the K-3 had the eyepiece cover AFAIK, but now that you mentioned I'm going to dig up the K-3 box and look through it again, maybe it's there and I missed it.

Yes, this is a common practice by some (unauthorized) resellers of Pentax gear. That's how they can offer the body only for a price that seems like a very good deal compared to authorized dealers. Did you get the K-30 from electronics basket or other third party reseller on Amazon?

It's very easy to miss, but there should certainly be one in your K-3 box.

Found it! It had gotten in between the cardboard partitions in the box. Thanks for pointing out that it should be in the box!

Strange that it wasn't in a plastic bag with the other small things.

you cover the eye piece as it leaks light during long exposures

The inside lid of my K30 box list "Finder Cap for ME" as an optional accessory. BH has them for sale.

As shown in the link from my prior post in this thread, the Pentax website claims the Finder Cap for ME is "in the box" (but it isn't). If the website is wrong, they've had a year and a half to fix it. Pentax sent me one no charge.
