I love the look of my K-30. The sharp angular lines make the camera look fast! It reminds me of sports / muscle cars from the 60s and early 70s with the aggressive grille shapes. They looked like arrows piercing the wind. Totally non-aerodynamic but super cool!

The K-30 feels very ergonomic. It's like Pentax gave a photograph a lump of clay to squeeze to get a mold of what the body should look like. Then they fitted everything into that shape!

Do you mean 'WiFi card support' ? I don't think it has built-in WiFi.
I guess I'm missing something as I would rather see Bluetooth than Wifi. Shoot some pics, then a quick dump to the Ipad via bluetooth to show them.

It's marketting-speak. All cameras have wifi support if you throw in an Eye-Fi card (not tried other brands). I had one and I tried it in all my old cameras and they all uploaded to my laptop the same way. (VERY SLOW when using a dslr and raw files)
It's just that some cameras recognize you have inserted a wifi card and perhaps offer additional features. Aside from that, I don't rate them at all - still a gimmick..

You're correct. I meant support for the Eye-fi cards. Sorry for the confusion!
According to the eye-fi site the k30 works fine with their cards. Just have to make sure your camera isn't set to power off before transfer. Pentax K-30: Camera WiFi Cards and Compatibility | Eye-Fi Support

The K50 isn't on their supported list yet.

Hated the grip on the k30. Too dainty and thin for me. I much prefer a round grip. The bigger Canon bodies fit like a glove. The K5,K7 and K20d were great as well. If the K50 is like any of those, I'd like it.

For those of us with the K-30 and K-01 - we can take pride in having possibly the two most radical Pentax bodies of all time, and are assured that both are unlikely to be revisited.

The K-01 isn't nearly as bad as it has been painted (other than the green button location which really was designed for ET).

The K-30 marketing appeared to have more refined ergonomics than in reality, as some of the hard-plastic texturing was disappointing in use. The grip is decidedly for feminine hands while the rest of the camera has masculine cues. While I have small hands, substantial lenses constantly remind me of the substandard grip quality.

Over time, I think the K-01 will earn greater respect due to its more integral design. Certainly the feel of the controls is superior, as well. Bottom line, I like the idea of having cameras that never will be mistaken for something else.

and blooming on LEDs
You are going to have to ditch digital completely if that is an issue for you.

Its not listed on the Eye-Fi as being supported but on the Ricoh site its listed as a feature of the K50.

Feature 4?K-50 | RICOH IMAGING

Guessing the Eye-Fi site just hasn't updated their info.

My old Sony a100 handled the blue LED light quite well as opposed to my k-30

I like the look/design of K-30 as well, but clearly sale of it isn't very good and was quickly replaced.

My hand fits the K-30 like a glove. What's that saying?......“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”

I agree with the LED blooming remark though.

I really like the k-30 design. It has a very unique design. Some may say that it's weird but I think it's very handsome and the different colours make it even more outstanding. The grip and handling is also very nice.

I liked the looks, size, and shape of my K-x better. But I like the features, usability, viewfinder, and absolutely everything else about the K-30 enough that the size and shape are non-issues.

I do HATE the flash overhang though. Gets caught on my camera bag every. stinking. time.

Charles.
