K50 Most Under Rated Camera 013

This guy shoots Nikon but he voted for the K30 in 2012 and the K50 in 2013. He stated that it's as good as the Canon 7D and Nikon 7100 at half the price.

For Pentax you can fast forward to 5:50

I sure do like mine! I had it narrowed down between K-50 and D7000 when I bought and have no doubts I made the right decision.

I think he meant 7D, because he said half the price.

I really think the K-30/K-50 is great. In fact, I may have to sell off one of my DSLRs soon and it may be the K-5. I really think the K-30 is a bit better in real-world, practical terms. Any thoughts on this?

And right after that he nominated the Sigma 35/1.4 Art as the "best".

So he clearly thinks it is an awesome lens, just that it was overhyped even beyond its own greatness.

The best and worst of 2013 - YouTube
In his former online persona he was known as "That Nikon Guy".

He spent a lot of money and time moving away from that persona he now uses and owns different camera brands. His mantra now is brand doesn't matter just get out and shoot.

He's funny and knowledgeable but lately posts mostly v-blogs about his shoots and locations which I find boring for the most part.

He did do one really good series of videos last year called teaching Tina (his sidekick). They begin with camera/lens selection and he goes on to teach her how to use the camera.

She was in the beginning neither photographer nor model she is the wife of a friend of his. He was smart enough to see in her someone who could boost his you visibility thus his business.

I think she's more popular than he is, she's dang sure easier on the eyes. :-)

K30/50 is definitely good camera. I have k30 and if compare that to my k5 there is only minor differencies. K5 serie was competitor for nikon 7000 serie. That leads to conclucion that k30/k50 is near nikon 7000 serie. I would say near only cos they are not in same level, nikon price tag is 2x higher, same as k5 serie. Difference is very little anyway for 2x price tag. If use same lens for k30/50, k5, nikon 7000 serie and know what to do then there is not significant differencies in photos, after post prosessing pics will look sa,e
