Recommended Settings on K-50

Hi All - is there a link or a discussion thread which explains suggested/recomended initial settings on the Pentax k-50
I have the 18-135 WR on the camera most of the time and just want to get an idea of whether or not I would be better off changing some of the default setting here and there; what flash setting to use most of the time; etc.

tx!!

I followed the recommendations in the review and got pretty good results. Eventually I kept tweaking them over time and arrived at a configuration that produces satisfying results with minimal effort on my part.
  • RAW format
  • Custom image: Normal
  • AF mode: Select
  • Shake reduction: On
  • Highlight correction: Auto
  • Shadow correction: Auto
  • Distortion correction: Off
  • Chromatic aberration: Off
  • Electronic Level: On
  • Horizon Correction: Off
  • High-ISO NR: Custom (100-800 -> Off; 1600-6400 -> Low, 12800-51200 -> Med)
  • Slow-speed Shutter NR: Auto

One of the interesting and useful things for me on using RAW+ was the comparison in the camera generated jpg and then my "cooked" jpg output from LR 5. I, of course, liked my version better. However, it does take a few minutes per picture to develop it.

Another thing that is handy for the camera generated jpg is the quick transfer to Ipad. When I'm doing sports picks of the teenage kids, they get a kick out of looking at them between games. Now, to show the level of quality the teens are OK with, they take a pic of the Ipad display with their phone and send it to their friends. DOH!!!!!!!!!!
