Noise Reduction on or off?

I am beginning to think below 1600 iso off is better.

I have turned all NR off in both my K-50 and my K-3.
Waiting for the NR cycle to complete after a long exposure frustrated me.
I never had any expectation of low-to-no-noise photos with NR off.
I haven't yet taken a picture that makes me want to turn it back on.

I have to agree with you , and I also notice much sharper pictures without it on which to me is the Golden NUGGET
