Love the colors.
Silkypix V2 is intentionally oversaturated, but for sea/sky/rock/evergreen landscapes, this can be what you want sometimes. Sort of a 60s postcard effect.

In their standard Japanglish they say of V2: "The reversal film has extremely high saturation, which exaggerates the color and simulates and is reproduction mode."

Of Standard they say: "This is the standard color creation of SILKYPIX, which is aiming at true color reproduction. This mode provides reasonable natural colors for many scenes."

Rather different sailing than you are used to I should think! The North Atlantic must be about the "polar opposite" of New Caledonia. This town, Brigus, was the home port of Capt. Bob Bartlett and his schooner the Effie Morrissey, the captain (but in a different ship) who took Peary up to the far north when Peary lied about actually getting to the North Pole (but that's another story!).
Of course ! we can go sailing in winter just with a Tshirt !
this town looks very beautiful, and hope to see more photos.

a project the missus recently finished:

the frame and fabric were coffee-stained before she assembled the finished project...

first shot was with the DA 50mm f1.8, the detail was done with an SMC A 100mm f4 Macro

Nice. Looks like it's pretty sharp. I really like the second shot.

Walked out on the East Coast Trail near Cape Spear with UWA lenses and back with my Pentax 100mm WR macro lens. These, from the return trip, are xposted to the DF A lens thread. I never cease to be amazed what that lens and a K-50 can do even hand held as all these are. My only complaint is that when switching from distance to macro, sometimes the autofocus fails and you have to get it into the right range first. That said, with quickshift, it's not much of a pain to do so.

In this last pic, there is a weird artifact from either jpg or bitblit operations or both which gives rise to a box pattern in the spray--especially on the left. Can't say I've ever seen that before. Anyone else ever see it? It's not in the original full size pic.
