Shane it's pointless deleting your posts when people have already responded to them. There was nothing wrong with leaving your photo.
It's become a total waste of my time looking and commenting then trying to help with the DxO software suggestion...

Humble apologies...I did check out the software but it the k50 wasn't on the list of compatible cameras? I was just thinking this great thread wasn't the place get help with post production. I appreciate the help, of course...I just didn't want to clog this thread. Again...sorry.

Downloading now...I wonder why it's not on their list. Oh well...Thanks again. Trust me...your time wasn't wasted. I just didn't want to clog up a pretty pic thread. It should be finished in around an hour. I really appreciate it.

Yes, it would have! I'm afraid you'd need the late Steve Irwin for that shot though.

Place a chuck of meat on your camera and enable catch-in focus

Everyone posted photos of living things. I'm going to post something as dead as ... glass globes.

If you hurry, you can get DxO Optics Pro 8 for free.

Thanks for that link. Downloaded it but haven't had a chance to play around with it yet.

And as long as I'm here... here's another living thing shot with my K50 and 300mm lens...

Cheers.
Yeh, focus is often a hit-or-miss with really shallow DoF and cats, they're always moving!
(as the above post from IHS shows, although 1/6 sec shutter speed and ISO400 is way to slow for a cat. The K-50 can easily produce great indoor results at ISO3200. The shot of my black cat in post#40 is ISO2200)
