Visited the Akron Zoo today with my K-50 and 50-200mm kit lens. I think I got some decent shots.

Both are JPG.
I expect what you really mean is that the 1st JPG was saved from an undeveloped RAW.

Yes, you are correct.
I am new to photography and I see 2 types of files got different look. I could not upload original raw file because it is too big.

Nice evening out along the Missouri River. Didn't quite get the sunset clouds I was hoping for but still great as I continue to learn with this nice little camera.

RAW is not a raster image format, it's data from the sensor which has not been processed by the camera's JPG settings.
The image you see on your camera LCD when shooting RAW is an embedded JPG preview which has been processed, but is not how the RAW data appears in RAW developer apps..
RAW will always load into Lightroom/PCU or other RAW developer looking different to the processed JPG out of the camera (OOC) because, well - it hasn't been processed yet. The purpose of RAW is to allow you to chose the final photo appearance from the collected RAW data.

These are some inspiring pictures!

I've been missing an SLR (went to an early mirrorless a few years ago) Had a few 35 SLR's but always felt like my K10D was my first real camera. Pretty set on a K50 with the 18-135 kit and the Pentax SMCP-DA 50mm f/1.8. Unfortunately I sold my Pentax compatible glass.

I was planning to ask if I should look at other Pentax models but I think These pics have me reassured I'm making the right choice. So Thank you!
