I'm pretty excited about my K-50 after using Canon for many years. I'm glad I saved my old Pentax Lenses. It's fun using the old lenses and taking a light reading, setting the shutter speed, aperture, and manually focusing. Taken with SMC M 80-200 Lens.

Very nice. Someday I may tackle a couple of the manual lenses I have from my old camera.

I finally got to really try out my new K-50! Here are some photos:

I used my Pentax F 35-70 for this one

and my Takumar F 70-210 for this one.

I've been following Pentax Forums for a while and wanted to post. Everyone seems very helpful here and I've learned a lot from you all!

Thanks! Both photos were taken near Cedar, MI. It's a really beautiful area with lots of nice old buildings and farms.

Rather different sailing than you are used to I should think! The North Atlantic must be about the "polar opposite" of New Caledonia. This town, Brigus, was the home port of Capt. Bob Bartlett and his schooner the Effie Morrissey, the captain (but in a different ship) who took Peary up to the far north when Peary lied about actually getting to the North Pole (but that's another story!).
