Cool! How are you liking it so far? I'm thinking of getting the Sigma 10-20 lens, but the fisheye shots from the Pentax 10-17 can look very neat at times.
I am really liking the fov of the thing and will continue to use it.

Thought I would have another crack at Orion again tonight seeing as we have fairly clear skies, bloody moon is out though.
Total exposure time just under 10mins all up, using K50, Astrotracer and Sigma 70-300mm, heap of dark frames, light bias shots, all stacked in DSS. Best results so far with the thing.

Being Boxing Day yesterday Adelaide pretty much shuts down, I went to the movies with the Mrs and kids, when we came out the start of a massive car cruise was happening, (Jaf's Bored after Xmas Cruise), I quickly took the Mrs home and went back (only 10 mins from home). It was the biggest gathering of muscle cars/streetmachines I have ever seen, Tea Tree Plaza is a huge shopping center here, there were cars as far as the eye could see and surrounding the whole place, over the road, the side streets, servo, it was crazy. The pano shows a small part of what was there. At 8 pm, people started the cruise, down to Port Adelaide, along the beach and to Marion shopping center.
My camera and tripod was in the car and all I had on it was the 10-17mm fish, I left in such a hurry I forgot to grab more lenses

If I could only have one lens for a shoot like that the 10-17 would be on the top of my list.

Christmas night walk downtown, as usual the K50 was there right along with the K3.
K50 plus 10-17 fisheye
10mm

The guard rails are for the path up to the ice rink. This year they had to bring machines in to make the ice.

17mm distortion corrected.

14mm corrected for distortion.

Silly Christmas pics of kitten as outside pics have been very hard to come by what with very thick cloud layers and low sun angle even at noon (19 degrees). Keeps everything very dark gray...

Anyway, back to Christmas kitten...

Note: at this range in pretty dark room backed off -1.7EV to balance the exposure with flash.

Natural light. Both taken with Sigma 17-50 HSM, first at 17mm, 2nd at 50mm. Other data available by clicking on pics.

Two pictures I've taken today, the pin's one lacks a little context (and the complete gallery) but I still found it pleasant to share.

East Coast Trail. Light was fantastic so I climbed up to try to record some of it. An hour before noon so sun angle below 19 degrees at my latitude. Temps = -10C. Some snow squalls coming off the ocean (1st pic). Found it VERY hard to deal with the wildly varying light conditions to show exactly how beautiful it was. Best pics into the sun (1st 2) seem to be when I kicked the exposure compensation to -1.0 to -1.7EV and then fixed in PP. Lens is a Sigma 17-50 HSM. (Click on pics for EXIF info.) Any advice as to how to take pics in such light conditions would be welcome. It is beautiful, but very hard for me to record. Did try the camera HDR function, but it was not satisfactory at all--very red/orange. Perhaps manual HDR would help. BTW, camera performed flawlessly though battery drain seemed pretty high. FYI, 1st 2 shots directly south and last 2 shots directly north.

For PP made liberal use of Silkypix Pro 6 including HDR slider.

Interesting tree in the first shot. And what is that building?
