I'm new to this dslr stuff and learning. Got to try out my new lens tonight. Tokina 828 ATX-PRO 80-200 2.8. Here's two shots from tonight. One of the game, one of an old coach to see the bokeh for some portraits. I've got the focus ADJ at 10 so I hope I get good shots.

Excellent sharpness on the colored pencil shots. What lens were you using?

Thanks mate. I was using my old favourite, an OM mount Zuiko 50mm f/1.8 with extension tubes. I used this lens a lot with my Oly E-3 and E-1 for macro as it's sooo sharp but hadn't found a way to make it work with my Pentax until now (2 bits of different tubes and some duct tape works wonders). It works very well on the Oly with a 2x tele too.

Ha, very good. Looking forward to seeing more with that setup.

I'm fairly happy with mine and it's weather resistance too, haven't properly tested it like my Oly E-1 and E-3 and been dunked by waves but it has been thoroughly wet.
As for keeping the lens dry, with a wide lens and the small hoods your going to be stuffed I think, a longer lens with narrower fov which allows longer hood works a treat.
Ah sorry for the late reply! Thanks for the info, I'll give it a shot!

All of these were taken during the same trip, and within minutes of each other, all with the same 18-55mm Pentax lens, with the K-50.

Fantastic images! Wow! And with the lowly "plastic fantastic." I am stunned and amazed.
