Good shot.
How close did this squirrel allow you to get to him?
It is uncropped, he lives in a tree in my yard. He is pretty use to me. I'm his peanuts and water.

The Canyon Country High School Color Guard.

All shot at ISO 800 with the Pentax 35mm f/2.4 @ f/3.2 & processed in RawTherapee using the Kodak Portra 800 film simulation.

These are excellent - nice colorful motion of the flags. Very clean 800iso.

Thanks. There are more in my 500px page.

There is actually more noise grain when pixel peeping the post processed images compared to the OOC jpegs, but there's more detail in the post processed images. The grain is also very pleasant looking. The OOC jpegs look smudged in comparison.

I'm sure the in camera image processor has applied noise reduction which will smooth the image but it will also take out some of the fine detail. That's the advantage of RAW; you can make those decisions yourself in post processing.

I wanted to participate in World Pentax Day so I went to get Toronto skyline shots Friday evening. The one I posted in that gallery was handheld because I thought it was astonishing and a real credit to Pentax IBIS that I could shoot 1/10 second with any degree of success. (Other people maybe, me not so much...) I also took a few using a park bench as a tripod and a much longer exposure.

Hey everyone! Great work in here. I wish I had signed up earlier and contributed to this K-50 thread. I just got the new K-1 two weeks ago and have since given my K-50 to my father, but I'm now starting to share some of my better moments with the K-50! Slowly putting together a flickr portfolio with some of my selections

K-50, Vivitar 75-205mm f3.8

Hello,

I inherited a K-50 with occasional aperture-block failures from my daughter (who now uses a K-3). With fairly light use, it seems to work well enough for me, so I've been having fun with it. Here is a photo of one of my granddaughters getting a hit at last-night's softball game. Taken with a Vivitar 75-205mm f3.8 at about 150mm, f5.6. I like this camera, and find it easy to use, but of course still prefer the K-5. If I had a K-50 as my only body, aside from the aperture-block problem I would be plenty happy with it!

This image is processed and cropped in Silkypix for the K-50, with a small amount of post-processing of the .jpg in Topaz Adjust to give it a little more "pop".
