K30 slower burst mode

Today I found a strange problem. My burst speed is much lower than usual. Tried hi burst on a high enough shutter speed (1/800), tried raw and jpeg, tried even without a memory card. The speed is lower than 6fps, it is about 2-3 fps. And lo burst mode is slower than that, I havent found any other problems and tried it with different lense. Do you have any idea what might the problem be?

Batteries? My K-5's burst mode is way slower than it should be if the battery is almost dead.

I am using the original battery and it was just charged. Could the battery be dead after one year? And today I made about 300 photos and it gave no signs of exhaustion?

Do you have lens corrections enabled? That would slow down your burst rate considerably due to the processing overhead.

As stated by Adam, check that you did not enable some in-camera processing. In doubt, reset all your setting (by removing the camera for a day), fully charge your battery and check all the camera setting to ensure that you do NOT enable lens correction, highlight correction, high-ISO correction.

Also use JPEG [*] or JPEG [**] on a class 10 card to maximise the burst duration if you shoot long bursts (like myself).

Lastly check that the card is not full....

Hope that the comment may help.

It probably thinks there's a flash on the hot shoe and is giving it a chance to recycle.

I find the k30 doing some funky stuff sometimes.. The features are great but the camera isn't so reliable as far as software glitches. And I have the same problem with the yongnuo radio triggers, it is very strange.
