Screen protector for K-50

Hi everyone,

I saw a few posts regarding screen protectors for the K-50, and it seems like the GGS protectors are both affordable and high-quality. I'd like to order one for my recently ordered camera, but I just wanted to confirm exactly what size I need to get - it seems like there's a ton of different listings on eBay (and Amazon) that may be correct. Could anyone confirm what it should be called, or even better, link me to a listing that is confirmed to fit perfectly?

Also, is the border of the protector white/gray or black? Black would probably look a lot better on my army green body...

Thanks!

Thanks, I've read about those too - they look good, but I like the GGS because it's glass (and should be harder to scratch) and a good bit cheaper. I just need to figure out what size to order. Looks like it's either the generic 3" one or the one for the K-7/K-5, just need to know which to get.

I haven't ordered one yet, trying to see if anyone will reply with a definite answer - if I don't hear anything soon I'll order the K-5/K-7 GGS one and report back.

Remember this Glass breaks ( even their ad shows it), polycarbonate is impact resistant.

...So...which would you recommend? i.e. which one has the Polycarbonate?

I use a GGS 3" LCD on my K-01. I have the ACMaxx on my K-50. Both are excellent products-- the GGS because it offers great value for the quality, and the ACMaxx because it's a perfect fit (designed for the K-50).

PS, I bought my ACMaxx from ebay for a bit less than the company's website:

I used the FlipBac on my previous camera, and really loved it. I'll be putting one on my K50 when I order it!

I would assume the 3" FlipBac would fit. I would definitely check first with (B&H), before I purchase it

One benefit of the FlipBac other than protecting the LCD, is when shooting high objects (moon); it has a mirror on it, and you can see the image thru the mirror without bending down to look thru the viewfinder or LCD.

It really depends on what you want the screen protector to do. For the most part, I only expect the protector to prevent scratches, fit perfectly and reduce glare. The hard devices really aren't designed to protect against breakage, but I suppose can provide some peace of mind. The best of the soft ones should be virtually unseen once applied, and show no bubbles. Of those, these are as good as it gets:
