K-500 or K-30/50

Hello everyone !
I have a K200D for 6 years now, and I'm thinking about buying a neaw DSLR and I'm hesitating between the 3 mentionned in the title.
I mostly take photos of aircraft (old and new), and I have for that a Sigma 120-400 mm.

I've read several reviews of each camera, and it appeared they are mostly the same (except the weather sealing and the viewfinder autofocus points for the K-500).
Is there anything else I have to take into account ?

Thanks in advance (and sorry for my english)

Rayak

Welcome, Rayak!

Nope, that's about it for the differences.

How long do you plan to keep the new camera? If you'd like another 6 years out of it, like your K200D, then any of them would be a good choice.

If you want to upgrade again in a year or two, then the K-50 would most likely retain the highest resale value.

^^ like he says.

But even if you don't anticipate the need for all-weather, don't underestimate the focus point issue. Many posts on here have highlighted the frustration of not having this in the K-500.

Other than that, you have the choice of cutting-edge design in the K-30 (not to everyone's taste), and a more traditional look on the K-50. Some have pointed out the lack of a rubber thumb rest on the K500/K50 is a bit annoying. But each to their own. Try and get to play with both K50 & K30 (and K500) if you can - see which feels best for you.

Thank you OregonJim
Well the idea is to keep it as long as it works well, so the resale value isn't very important.
So if I have the opportunity to find a K-30 70$ cheaper thant the K-50, I should really consider buying it ?

The k30 and k50 are virtually identical in terms of functionality, so I would go with the one you think has the better looks. The k30 is quite unique with all those sharp edges, while the k50 has a more traditional design.

0$ cheaper I'd still go with the K-30........ Unless you want some weird color scheme for the body

I really like the K-30's look, and not very interested by some weird colors for the body
