Micro AF adjustment

Question for all AF adjustment experts:

I haven't exhaustively tested this yet (multiple distances, focal lengths) but I'm beginning to think my two year old K-30 may now need a little more than +10 micro adjustment (I've had it at +8 for at least a year). Is there any special means or hack that might allow me to test this and perhaps set it to a higher figure? TIA.

For the kx and the k5 you can use the debug mode. I am not sure if that is possible with the k30.

Thanks, this helped a lot. I found out PKTether isn't compatible with the K-30 BUT if hit the enter debug mode command on the software interface and then disconnect the K-30... voila, you've turned on debug mode. I was able to make some AF adjustments beyond what the normal menu offers.

I want to make AF ajustments for my new k50+DA50 1.8, it always misfocus when shooting portraits at a large aperture between F1.8 to F3.5 using OVF, I wonder if someone could tell me when to ajust "+" and "-", here's a sample photo, please help!

Be careful judging AF accuracy when taking kiddie shots. They never sit/stand still and are always in constant movement, so with a thin DOF you're likely to have the wrong point in focus. They can move a long way in the 0.1 or so seconds that AF takes to work. Just take more shots. Sometimes it's the operator habitually moving fore or aft between getting an AF lock and pressing the shutter.

If your problem is a real AF accuracy one then it's front focus (FF) by the look of it. A minus setting pushes the focal point back according to the notes I made last time I adjusted AF, notes I made because I can never remember which way is which LOL.

Thank you, SteveB. I think I should read more about K50 User Manual, so I can handle my K50 well.
