Manual setting with external flash is buggy

So I have been using my K-30 in manual mode, with a external Manual flash (oloong SP-595). When taking a picture, the picture comes out at the right exposure and the flash goes off, but somehow, the screen is stuck at an different aperture and shutter speed. E.g I took the picture at 1/40s and F2.8, it ends up showing 1/125s and F4.5 after the exposure. Am I doing something wrong?

Regards,
Anthen

Process for isolating the problem would be: 1) compare by shooting with flash mounted but turned off; 2) compare to shooting with no flash mounted; and 3) compare shooting with another flash mounted. A similar process using a different lens also might be necessary to determine the culprit.

Frankly, I can't think of anything a non-dedicated flash could do to trigger to cause a change in shutter speed and aperture.
