When the K-50 ejects the SD card...

... it sure goes pretty darn far.

I was having trouble removing the SD card. It seemed to only stick out a tiny bit, and I couldn't grasp it. My plan? Push it harder and pull my hand away quickly. The result? It shot about 6 feet across the dining room before it smacked the china cabinet.

I love Pentax Forums.com

Yep , removing the SD card is challenging ...
I gently push down and release trying for less than half a meter of trajectory ...

Lol...I thought it was just me and my fingers being too big. I usually try to get my fingernail in the ridge at the top to get it out further so I can grab it. It is a bit of an art though.

I don't know about other card manufacturers but I can slide my Sandisk cards out by pulling on the little groove at the end of the card with my fingernail.

This happened to me too. While my wife was watching. She just thought I was being an idiot. Until it happened to her.
