I'm running on my lack four lithium AAs and I'm not sure where to buy new ones.
Is it worth it to buy in bulk? Where do you guys buy them? Are there different quality batteries?

Sanyo eneloops. Why keep buying single use batteries when these are better?

I have a Kx and a K-30, so I'd like something that will last a long time without a charge. How long do Eneloops tend to run?

I too have a K-x and a K-30 run Eneloops in both. Average about 300 shots per load. Some get more shots than that but I can't vouch for what others get. I find Eneloops hold their charge longer too. I've found standard non rechargeable Lithiums, lose power over time.

This is a post I made on another thread, but I think its relevant here too ...

Just a comment on Eneloops ... recently I heard a story that Sanyo sold the rights to the Eneloop name to Panasonic. Panasonic now makes "Eneloops" in a factory in China (so they may or may not be exactly the same as the original made in Japan Sanyo Eneloops.
Apparently Fujitsu bought the Sanyo factory in Japan and now makes "Fujitsu Rechargeable" batteries there.
There is conjecture that the closest thing to the orginal Sanyo Eneloops might be these Fujitsu ones.
Anyone else heard this?

So I did some searching and found these:

La Crosse Technology BC-700 Alpha Power Battery Charger

Eneloop XX 8-pack

That's $70, for $61 I can buy 40 Lithium batteries (10 rounds). Realistically, I'd like to spend $54 or less, so I think I'll go with the lithiums but the charger and eneloops look highly rated, so I hope they are helpful links to someone else.

I just bought these last week:

Amazon.com: Panasonic K-KJ17MCA4BA Advanced Individual Cell Battery Charger with eneloop AA New 2100 Cycle Rechargeable Batteries, 4 Pack, White: PANASONIC: Electronics

But I will say I haven't tested them against my other Eneloops to see if they're better or what. I have four sets of four of the original Eneloops by Sanyo.

I bought my eneloops in a set with 8 AA, 4 AAA, and a charger from Costco for only $20...
They work great.

Don't need the XX eneloops in cameras. Just the standard white ones.
The standard white envelops can be recharged 2,100x.
http://www.amazon.com/Panasonic-K-KJ17MCA4BA-Individual-Rechargeable-Batteri...ywords=eneloop
Currently 4 batteries plus charger is $20.
2000 cents / 2100 / 4 batteries = 1/4c per battery per use.
So they're 1/4c away from zero cost. Plus better for the environment as you're not putting heavy metals into landfill.
If you get them for stillshot2's price, well that's near as can't be measured to free.

Okay, can you guys recommend a charger than doesn't take seven hours? Or am I better off buying several sets?

Eneloops come precharged ready to use right out of the package. So, I bought those four above and since they're already charged, I used them, then put four of my others in the charger to charge. I had some in the camera that were almost depleted, so that's why I put the new ones in the camera and recharged the older ones.

Shoot all day - recharge when you're sleeping. If you're worried about running out of juice, buy a second 4 pack of batteries without the charger. The eneloops go longer than alkalines or other types of battery, so see how you go... I use them in my flash and recharge them about 2 times per year, so no real need for another charger.

Here's what I ended up with: Pansonic Blue Eneloop Kit 8 AA Batteries Charger 2000 mAh Ni MH 2100 Cycle | eBay
$30 for a charger and 8 batteries sounds pretty good.
