K-50 and DxO Optics pro 9 module

Anyone with the K-50 able to enjoy the K-50 module with DxO Optics?

While I have downloaded and installed the module via the handy menu option, DxO is not using it. it seems that it isn't recognizing the images as shot with the K-50. The images are fresh RAW, not saved with any other software previous. EXIF shows PENTAX K-50.

I am puzzled.

Like Lightroom, camera model body support is baked into the program itself. DxO has supported the K-50 since DxO Optics Pro v8.3.1.

Hence new program updates usually announce support for new cameras (eg v9.5.1 added Sony A7S, RX100 III, SLT-A77 II, Nikon 1 J4, Samsung NX30 etc). Lens modules are developed and updated outside of the main program, however.

So for DxO Optics Pro to do all it's stuff, you only need to install modules for lenses that have been profiled with particular bodies. Camera body support itself is already there for the K-50 if you have anything newer than v8.3.1.

Some features for supported cameras should work out of the box (eg noise reduction, white balance adjustments, sharpening, cropping etc etc), but lens corrections won't unless you also load a matching lens module for your camera into DxO.

If you want to confirm DxO is working for you, make sure you have installed lens modules they have developed for your camera. Eg if you have a batch of RAW's you took with the K-50 and the FA 50 1.4 lens, go to DxO, install the lens module for K-50+FA 50, then open up some images taken with that combo in DxO. You should see that DxO now will be automatically recognising that it supports your lens/camera combo, and applying various corrections automatically too.

Optics Pro V8.5.0 build 437 DxO Module Optics not work with Pentax K50

Hi all,
I used Optics Pro V8.5 recently

My Combo Pentax K50+Lens 18-55 DAL WR.
I download DxO Optics Module for this combo ( ID C25761a) but DxO Optics Pro 8.5 can't recognize it.
When i choose properites on image. DxO Optics Module not answer

I Try manual download from DxO Website , choose correctly this combo and take a new module ID C25728a . But DxO optics recognize it is a Panasonic Module.

any body can help me. Thanks

I use K-50 and DxO Optics pro 8. It works fine so I don't know why 9 doesn't work. Did you call tech support.

DXO does NOT support DA L series lenses. If you had a DA 18-55 it would work. Same for WR. I know for a fact that DA 18-55 works (I have Optics pro 8.5 and DA 18-55). My DA L 50-200 WR isn't recognized BUT the DA 50-200 WR has a module.
Yes DXO is that specific. Even though there are no optical differences between the DA and DAL series, it doesn't matter to DXO. Whatever lenses they've tested are what gets a module. I guess they don't test DA L's.
