1.4x rear converter (telextender)

Is anyone using the Pentax 1.4x rear converter for the k30, k50 etc. mount?

I have noticed considerable image quality improvement with firmware v1.06.

K30 update info states.....
Changes to V1.06
•Correspond to HD PENTAX-DA AF REAR CONVERTER 1.4X AW.
•Improved stability for general performance.

K50/500 V1.02 states the same.

Nice to see such highly detailed info from Ricoh about the updates
