Camera bag slipped off my shoulder with no warning at the end of a very long day of air travel and my reflexes were too slow to mitigate the face plant. K20 took the blow inside the bag and cracked the horn infront of the flash right down to the lens mount and chipping out a piece. Just stuck black gaffer tape over the crack and glued back the chip and has worked that way for next four years. Live and learn... when tired secure camera bag securely on shoulder.
You reckon?
Last week same scenario. Camera bag slumps to floor. Hood of 16-45 takes the blow this time and neatly breaks off 3 of the tabs on the bayonet clip. Hood now attaches but rotates freely and falls off at slightest nudge. Maybe this will really teach me but probably not.
