I 100% agree with this. I started out with a K-30 & 18-55mm WR kit. While the 18-55mm WR lens is solid, the 18-135mm WR is a huge improvement and that extra reach is more than worth the extra cost. I eventually sold both and bought a K-5ii w/ 18-135mm WR.
I know it's more money but I definitely recommend you spring for the 18-135mm WR lens instead of the 18-55mm. 55mm will only take you so far and as others have said, switching lenses just to get the extra reach is a pain, and using a non WR lens to boot sort of defeats the whole purpose of the versatility of the weather sealed body.
