K50 E-dials

So I use the E-dails to adjust for a shot then in order to use them for the next shot I have to press the playback button or else when moving the dial you get a BIG zero. So what's up with that? What am I doing wrong here? It like they freeze after just one shot.

Either disable instant review, wait for instant review to end, or half-press the shutter button before going back to adjusting the dials (this is what I do). The issue arises due to the fact that the rear e-dial is also used for zooming in on the image.
