What 3rd party battery is good in the K-50?

I need some DLI109 batteries. Do any of the 3rd party batteries hold up like Pentax originals?

The wasabi power batteries are just as good if not better than the originals.

My advise is to forget about 3rd party batteries. I have yet to find one that is half as good as the original. I have wasted quite some pretty pennies trying out various brands. I tested them using a battery capacity tester.

I have a Watson battery that I use in rotation with my OEM battery and I cannot tell the difference in their performance...

I have bought Patona some months ago (4/5), so far I see it as good as the original one.

Have you considered the AA adapter as a secondary source? That way you have additional options. With lithium AA batteries you get good endurance. With Li-H AA batteries you can charge several sets easily and cheaply. Finally if you're waaay out back somewhere you can find some sort of AAs almost anywhere in the world in an emergency.

DSTE are good cheapies. That's not just estimated from shots taken which is wildly inaccurate, it's judged by measured capacity.

I have 4 DSTE batteries for my K30/50...... However I have used them without problem on the K30/K50 for over two years and am happy , I had a bad batch for my K3 (different DSTE battery) and wasn't happy.
They cost me about $5 each so its no big deal.

i just purchased a DSTE on ebay since they are so cheap after reading that they are good on this forum.

it will be my backup battery since i'll primarily use the OEM one.
