You get what you pay for. If you want a cheaper alternative to the OEM battery, check out Wasabi:

Amazon.com : Wasabi Power Battery (2-Pack) and Charger for Pentax D-LI109 and Pentax K-r, K-30, K-50, K-500 : Digital Camera Batteries : Camera & Photo

DSTE batteries have been fine for the last 2yrs in my K-30 with the same measured mAh capacity minus a few percent compared to the Pentax battery. Most cheapies are nowhere near their claimed capacity, 50% or less.

I don't know your specific battery but I have bought Energiser and Haenel batteries and they are good.

i just checked and the OEM batteries are 1050 MAH.

ebay sells the DSTE batteries for the k-50 for only $8.99 shipped which is cheap but they are rated at 2100 MAH.

good to hear that the DSTE batteries have been great for you.

since the MAH is higher in the DSTE, does that mean they last longer than the OEM one?
