how much was the K-50 when it was first released 2 years ago??

i know that this camera was released 2 years ago.

when it was first released, how much was the camera body w / 18-55 kit lens?

for some reason, i couldn't find any old pricing online.

$699 for the body, $769 for the kit.

$400 isn't even that bad after 2 years.

I am not sure but I think the K-30 fared better and the K-50 was only really a design change. I still see K-30's selling in Amazon at times for prices close to the original, go figure.

That's because some of us think the K-30 is way sexier than the K-50 and it's getting hard to find certain colors now that they are formally discontinued. :P

I have no idea. Some people didn't like it, were vocal about it I guess, but actually it turned out to be a very popular model. Even now I think used models/back stock are selling pretty well and for some nice prices too. I like my K5II as well, but my K-30's? I wouldn't sell one for anything. I'd sell the K5II long before I sold my K-30's. I shoot with the K5II more simply because it saves wear and tear on the K-30's. I want them to last as long as possible. I'm still thinking I might make it a trio and get a blue one someday. That way I might just have one around till I finally kick it. I'm still in love. I don't want to ever be without a red one, grin...
