Goldenrod Pond

Just trying to learn how to upload a picture and then control where it goes. Would like to be able to post to contests and where ever for photos can be viewed by members. I am used to using dpreview, another photographic forum and a motorcycle forum. Should not take too long to get around here. Thanks for any help.

Photo below was taken with my K-30/18-55mm WR lens this past week. Post processed for clarity.

Welcome!
Perhaps... to much clarity? Or maybe its the lighting... something doesn't strike me as right... or to cluttered? Perhaps someone who know better than me could provide some input?
I like what you're doing compositionally, i.e. giving a frame to the lake.

A very nice scene, but spoiled by too much sharpening (when viewed at 100%) imho.

Steve, I agree with you about over sharpening. However I tend to follow another photographer's pointer.... sharpen for the size your image will be viewed. Makes sense to me, so that is what I often do. I do however, often try to sharpen first looking at my 100% image, then bringing it down to a more reasonable size for last sharpening efforts. I would really like to have it both ways, but have not arrived at that yet. I do not mean this reply to be and argument, but an excuse for my efforts at sharpening. Thanks for reminding me of this situation....Dan
