First action shoot with K50

Have had the K-50 for a couple weeks now I am really happy with the performance. Took some shots my grandsons soccer game today and can't believe how fast it is. Still learning all the controls and they are more intuitive than I thought they would be. The weather seals were tested as it was raining. My long 60 - 300 isn't weather sealed so it was left in the bag today. $359 with the kit WR lens makes it an incredible value compared to a comparable Nikon or Canon.

upgrade to the hd 55-300 the next time its on sale, you won't regret it. at ~260 it is a steal. fall soccer weather is always wet where i am. it couldn't hurt to have the dust/dirt protection too. its great having such an awesome camera for so little an investment. i take my k50 & 55-300 to the beach all the time with my dog and don't have to worry at all. i haven't submerged it but ill take it into the water sometimes and it takes occasional splashes no problem. the hood on the 55-300 helps with that too.

I only got my K50 a few weeks ago too and am quite impressed with its performance. The sensor gives nice clean images even with long exposures and noise reduction turned off.
I am hoping the weather sealing is as good as the Oly's I have had, they took a beating, getting dunked in waves, rain, dust etc. and never missed a beat.

Which oly? The wp ones? Bc wr and wp is wayyyy different. People have hosed off their pentaxes but I wouldn't expose it unnecessarily and I def wouldn't submerge it ever unless you feel really gutsy. Make sure your lens is wr too or else you'll get water in where they connect.
