Silkypix for K-50

Hello,

I inherited a Pentax K-50 without the Silkypix software. I have other software I can use, but would like to try the Silkypix for K-50, it's version 3.0.0.11. The 3.0.0.8 that is at the Ricoh site is only good for the K-30 and won't recognize K-50 .dng files.

Can someone e-mail the 3.0.0.11 installer from the CD? P.M. me if you can.

Thanks!
-Joe-

The software disk I got with my brand new K-50 says SilkyPix LE 3.0. I'm not sure what that means as I have never used the software. I'm sure all K-50s owners of new cameras would have the same edition I do. So, question for you or anyone, does the version LE 3.0 also include the 3.0.0.11 installer?

As I understand, the SilkyPix LE 3.0 for K-50 is the 3.0.0.11 installer.

Thanks.

I took my latest cd from my K-50, zipped it and dropped it in Joe's Dropbox. He's installed it and now he's happy.

Thanks much Photolady95! That worked great!

Now, I need to figure out some of the nuances of Silkypix. I am very much used to PDCU, having used it for several years, but PDCU5 runs awfully slow on my PC. I find that Silkypix runs (and develops) MUCH faster than PDCU5, and at least as fast as PDCU4 (for my K-5 raw files). It seems however that Silkypix is not picking up the in-camera noise reduction settings from the .dng file. From my K-5 raw files, PDCU4 does pick up the noise reduction settings. I'll have to see if there is some option to have Silkypix do that.

Thanks all for your comments.

-Joe-

P.S. Here is one I just processed in Silkypix, and it developed very quickly.

Original poster is in the USA. And he had a drop box where I could drop the software. I don't know how that would work for you.

silkypix for k-50 please

Hi Photolady95

Could you upload the silkypix 3.0.0.11 files to my dropbox Dropbox - Submit files
Many thanks

Also does anyone know the link to download dcu5? All I can find on the ricoh site are updates for v4 and v5, no full program installer.

I'd like to help but I'm on my laptop and don't have access to my desktop where the files are to make an .iso file.

They say you can install the update and when it says it can't find a original program, just click ok, and it should install and run just fine.
