Big issue actually, it won't record any sound!

Camera was bought secondhand a while ago and has very low shutter count and is in excellent condition. I did not check the video on receipt (as I do very little) and it is too late to complain now.

There is no sound recorded, just a very low level white noise hiss. Verified by camera speaker / direct output / from SD card with several editing programs.
I know my way around cameras and video, and have tried all different level settings.
Camera speaker is working (silly bleeps if you want them)
Camera has had several re-sets.
Upgraded to the latest firmware.
Everything else is fine.

Is this a common failure with the K-30? I am not too bothered on a personal level, but this will affect the re-sale value should I upgrade.

Any help welcomed.

Cant say I've heard this issue reported anywhere else. Could be an isolated problem, possibly shot due to moisture ingress?

Hi Adam, certainly nothing on the forum or wider web. I may have to put my engineering / electrical skills to the test and take a look.
